The Pro gives the option to use different filter inserts depending on your growing needs. Microns are a tiny unit of measurement often used to measure microscopic particles. With the Pro filter growers can choose what kind of filter to use - including how many microns - to suit their environment. 

This might include your water hardness whether you’re growing indoors or outdoors or the kind of nutrient solution you’re using.
